Scott Bunker, Director of Golf

Class A PGA Member Scott Bunker is Director of Golf at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club. Scott was again recognized by Golf Digest as a Top 10 Instructor in Arizona. He has been on their list every year since 2000. Scott was named Teacher of the Year by the Southwest PGA in 2000. He was previously Director of Instruction with the John Jacob's Golf Schools, starting his golf teaching career there in 1979.

Scott has taught all over the world teaching golfers from beginners to professionals. He currently offers private lessons to members as well as clinics to beginners, men, women and juniors. He runs his summer junior camp at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club every summer. Scott and his wife Mary have three boys, Jeffrey, Ryan and Kyle.

Sean King, Assistant Golf Professional

Sean King is one of the many talented Assistant Golf Professionals at RMRCC. He spent his whole life around the game of golf. From caddying, to working outside services, to now working as an Assistant Professional, giving lessons and helping our members in any way he can is what keeps him smiling at work.

Born and raised in East Lansing, Mi. he spent many summers up north enjoying the small-town atmosphere along with the numerous lakes and beaches. Since moving to Arizona, he has started a family and enjoys spending as much of his free time with them as possible. He also enjoys going to Phoenix Coyote hockey games and making the trip up to Las Vegas to try his luck on the tables. To book a lesson with Sean, please call our golf shop (480) 985-0285.

Mitch Powers, Assistant Golf Professional

Mitch moved to North Phoenix at the age of 4 from upstate New York, started playing golf at the age of 13 and began working in the golf business at the age of 17. He graduated college from New Mexico State University in August of 1991 and immediately moved back to Phoenix and was hired on at Red Mountain Ranch on August 8, 1991 where he worked for the following 25 years.

In the Summer of 2016, Mitch decided to leave the golf business and pursue a career in Real Estate which relocated him to Tucson, AZ. Later, he realized his passion still lied within the golf industry and he wanted to continue spending his time doing what he loves. He's thrilled to be welcomed back at Red Mountain Ranch where he has so many fond memories and friends.
