Meet the Staff


  • General Manager
    • Jerry Wilson

      With more than 26 years of experience in golf operations, Jerry Wilson first joined Scottsdale Golf Group in 1994. As the Vice President of Public Golf Operations, Jerry serves as General Manager for SGG's Painted Mountain Golf Resort in Mesa and oversees operations at public and municipal golf properties within SGG's management portfolio.

      His diverse background includes a two-year degree in agronomy and turf management, food and beverage operations, multi-facility, golf and clubhouse operations, supervision of capital construction projects, staff development and training and budgeting/cost control operations.  He has maintained his Class "A" membership in the PGA since 1993.  

      Prior to joining SGG, Jerry held similar management positions with Pinetop Lakes Country Club, Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Camelot Golf Club in Mesa.

  • Director of Sales
    • Lorie Toms

      Lorie Toms is the Director of Sales. She is excited to be part of the team here at the Red Mountain Ranch Country Club and looks forward to helping you to have the perfect wedding, anniversary, reunion or any other event that you may need, she is also Membership Director, any membership inquiries please contact her. She is more than happy to assist our members or anyone looking to become a member at RMRCC. 

      Born in Las Vegas, Nevada. she attended UNLV before marrying and starting a family. She worked as a manager of two medical offices in Texas for 10 years.  She then moved to Mesa with her family 16 years ago.  She was a manager for the Rio Verde Country Club for three years and changed jobs and worked at the Arizona Golf Resort for seven years as Banquet Manager and Director of Catering. Lorie has six children, 3 boys and 3 girls and 18 grandchildren.

  • Director of Golf
    • Scott Bunker

      Scott was again recognized by Golf Digest as a Top 10 Instructor in Arizona in their 2008/2009 poll. He has been on their list every year since 2000. Scott was named Teacher of the Year by the Southwest PGA in 2000. He was previously Director of Instruction with the John Jacob's Golf Schools, starting his golf teaching career there in 1979.

      Scott has taught all over the world teaching golfers from beginners to professionals. He currently offers private lessons to members as well as clinics to beginners, men, women and juniors. He also runs the summer junior camp at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club every summer. Scott and his wife Mary have three boys, Jeffrey, Ryan and Kyle.

  • Regional Controller
    • Kathy Culver

      Kathy joined the Scottsdale Golf Group in 2011 as Property Controller at OrangeTree Golf Course. She was promoted to Regional Controller in 2012 and re-located at RMRCC. Kathy has an accounting degree with advanced MBA courses in auditing and a background in Human Resources. She has over 30 years of accounting experience with ten years in the fitness industry.

      Kathy lives in Gold Canyon with her husband and three cats. When she isn’t focusing on numbers and spreadsheets she runs, hikes, bikes, kayaks and does adventure racing.

  • Executive Chef

      Executive Chef Jay Culp

      Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, he moved to Arizona and graduated from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 1994. He went on to work
      in major resorts throughout the Valley. Chef Jay participated in a National Purchasing Networking Competition in Pennsylvania along 30
      other Executive Chefs. The first year in the competition he won 3rd Place and the 2nd year with the theme being a Mystery Basket, he was runner up in the competition. 

      Chef Jay is a proud father of two, Samantha and Christian, he enjoys spending his free time with them.
      He is very excited to be a part of RMRCC, he looks forward to bringing his 25 years of experience and creative culinary skills to our membership and guests.

  • Food & Beverage Director

    • Tom Nicol

      Tom was born and raised in Minnesota, and began working in
      Country Clubs and golf courses at the age of 18. He has
      previously worked at clubs including Brackett’s Crossing,
      The Wilds, and The Legacy, all in Minnesota. 
      In his 
      mid-twenties, he made the move to the Southwest
      to pursue his food and beverage options year round. 
      landed in Las Cruces, NM where he managed the Las Cruces
      Country Club and eventually became
      the Food & Beverage Director.

      After two years, he made the move to Phoenix, where he worked 
      at The Fridays
      Front Row inside Chase Field during the 2001 World Series and met his wonderful
      wife, BobbieJo. 
      His heart however, was still in the golf industry and he kept part time
      employment at Alta Mesa Country Club for several 
      years while pursuing other interests. 
      When the position at RMRCC became available, he knew that this club and 
      would be a good fit. He has a beautiful wife, a son, a daughter and two adorable pups
      that occupy his 
      time outside of work.  He also enjoys golf, volleyball, bowling, and
      vacationing with friends and family (usually the beach). 
      Tom is definitely bringing his
      brand of personalized service and creativity to RMRCC.  He is always open to any ideas
      from our members and any suggestions on how we can better serve you.

  • Director of Tennis
    • Ray Kheshvadjian

      Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Ray was one and a half when his family moved to Los Angeles. Ray grew up playing all types of sports but did not pick up a tennis racquet until the age of 14.  By the time he graduated high school he had put in more then enough time into tennis to get him to the next level. In Ray’s short time on the tennis court, he learned to be productive and work hard to achieve his goals and play tennis at the next level. Ray played for Pierce Junior College for two years before transferring to Anderson University in South Carolina. Ray was ranked in the top 50 in Southern California junior college rankings and in the top 10 in doubles. He has also been ranked in the top 30in the nation singles and doubles men's 35 USTA.

  • Fitness Director
    • Lois Moncel

      Lois is RMRCC's Fitness Director and has been in the fitness industry for 20 years. She is originally from central Illinois and graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Consumer Affairs. Lois has managed fitness centers, and has worked as a certified personal trainer and a certified group fitness instructor through AFAA for the last 20 years.  She is also an instructor for ASHI in  CPR/AED. 

      Lois and her husband have lived here for seven years and have one daughter who is in college.  . In her free time, Lois enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, spending time with family, friends and her two dogs.

  • Marketing Coordinator
    • Yessenia Gastelum

      Yessenia started at RMRCC in August 2015, she is  assisting Lorie Toms (Director of Sales) and also assisting with the marketing at the club. Her previous experience in hospitality comes from working five years at Arizona Golf Resort. There she started as banquet server and ended her work proudly as banquet manager. Yessenia is very happy to be learning so many new things in the marketing industry. Previous to Arizona Golf Resort she assisted her father in his landscaping business doing all his marketing and accounting.  Yessenia studied Business Administration at Central Arizona College and received her Associate's Degree in 2006. During her spare time Yessenia enjoys traveling with friends, being at home, and  working on creative projects. She has lived in the East Valley most of her life, and enjoys the winter times in Arizona.
